The seat sacks and luxury click-clack chairs have made an immediate and lasting impact on our students.\r\n\r\nFrom the moment they arrived, the excitement was palpable. Students were eager to try them out, and they have quickly become a favorite part of our daily routine. We now rotate students through using the chairs for silent reading and alternative seating, and it has truly enhanced both their comfort and engagement.\r\n\r\nThe seat sacks have also been such a practical addition—helping students stay organized while keeping materials easily accessible. Everything you provided is not only functional, but also beautifully made—cute, durable, and easy to clean. It's clear these items were chosen with care, and they will absolutely be used and appreciated for years to come.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has created a more flexible, inviting, and student-centered learning environment. First, I wanted my students to pay more attention to details as they visualized the setting of fictional books. Giving them a book where they got to sketch two drastically different settings - Ivan's cage at the Big Top Mall and his habitat at the zoo - helped even my most struggling readers pay more attention to what sights and sounds the author mentioned throughout the novel.\r\n Additionally, this year, our school has been working really deliberately to help our students build background knowledge and become more invested in scientific vocabulary. My students became much more engaged in their research project on gorillas and elephants as we paired this with \"The One and Only Ivan.\" Many kids more intentionally selected information from their non-fiction articles because they saw themselves directly explaining to Ivan and Ruby how a silverback gorilla or an elephant should look, how these animals should behave, and, most importantly, what these animals needed in their habitats. \r\n One of my girls became especially bothered by how Ivan, Stella, and Ruby were treated at the Big Top Mall at Exit 8. Since finishing this project, she has started independently researching how animals are currently treated in captivity. This project that you funded may have just created a future zoologist or animal rights' activist. \r\n Thank you so much for your support of this project.","fullyFundedDate":1762957510484,"projectUrl":"project/the-one-and-only-way-to-research-anima/9796396/","projectTitle":"\"The One and Only\" Way to Research Animals","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Oltman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10303345"},{"teacherId":9251405,"projectId":9686635,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation of owl pellets to our classroom. Your contribution created an incredibly meaningful and memorable learning experience for our students.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, students were able to engage in true hands-on learning—carefully dissecting the pellets, discovering bones, and observing the structure of real animal remains. They were especially amazed by the size and variety of the skulls and bones they uncovered. There was a genuine sense of excitement and curiosity as they worked.\r\n\r\nStudents took great care in identifying and comparing the remains of mice, moles, and birds, developing their observation and critical thinking skills in a way that simply can't be replicated through textbooks alone. The level of engagement, collaboration, and enthusiasm was remarkable.\r\n\r\nThis experience made a lasting impact. It brought science to life in a way they will not forget, and it sparked a deeper interest in the natural world.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this opportunity possible for our class.
