The books this year include a girl who has to do a family tree project, but only has 2 branches: her mom and her. So she decides to include all the people around her who are a part of her life. Another includes two friends who use sign language. And one of my favorites is about 2 boys who went to a birthday party, but the mom of the birthday boy wouldn't let the African American boy in, saying there were no more chairs.
