Students have become very independent and organized with the shelf. The shelf holds table toy activities that work on fine motor, literacy, math skills and much more. It has been a great addition due to creating table toy time a soft transition as they are arriving. It helps students know where toys need to be put away. Students work together, they partner up to play with the same toy and work on skills such as turn-taking and sharing. They work together such as, If one students chooses a toy, they both then work together to clean up and put away in the shelf. It has become a space that is organized and students know where things belong. When students saw the shelf, they were so intrigued by the item in our class. They looked at it and gave me great comments.
