Your generosity has made a bigger difference for our students than you might expect from such a simple piece of technology.\r\n\r\nOur students regularly complete assessments on their computers, and many of those assessments include audio directions, questions, or other information that students need to hear. Having individual headphones means each student can clearly hear their assessment without competing with the sounds of everyone else's computer. This creates a quieter, more focused environment and allows students to concentrate on showing what they know rather than trying to hear over the activity happening around them.\r\n\r\nOur students were especially excited to have headphones that are their own to use during assessments. For young learners, having the right tools can make them feel more independent and prepared. They quickly learned how to use the headphones and have been excited to put them to work when it is time to complete their computer assessments.\r\n\r\nThe students who have benefited most are those who can become easily distracted by surrounding sounds. Being able to listen privately to their assessment helps them stay focused and work at their own pace. It may seem like a small thing, but for a first grader trying to demonstrate everything they have learned, being able to clearly hear the directions can make a meaningful difference.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping us provide our students with the tools they need to be successful. Your donation has helped make assessment time calmer, more focused, and less stressful, while giving our students the opportunity to show what they truly know.
