Your generosity put gardening tools and materials into our students' hands, and we are already putting them to use.\r\n\r\nWe've started with planters in the classroom, and are now planting in the beds. One moment that stood out was watching students work together to get the beans and peas starters planted and tied to poles for support. For many, this was their first time doing something like this. They were focused and intentional, taking their time to do it right.\r\n\r\nWhen the supplies arrived, students immediately leaned in. They asked questions and wanted to understand how everything worked. Now they check on the garden each day and take responsibility for its care.\r\n\r\nNext, we are connecting the garden to our classroom learning. Students will track plant growth and write about what they notice as the garden develops.
