Students are using them daily during hands-on labs and group activities. With seating that properly fits our lab tables, students are able to maintain better posture, stay focused longer, and work more comfortably. During a recent investigation, I noticed students were more engaged and able to collaborate more effectively because they weren't distracted by uncomfortable or unstable seating. The stools have truly improved the learning environment and made our workspace more functional for science instruction.\r\n\r\nWhen the stools arrived, students immediately noticed the difference. They were excited to have seating that actually fit the lab tables and didn't wobble or tip. Several students commented on how much more comfortable they felt and how much easier it was to focus. There was a sense of pride in the classroom, and students were eager to use the new stools during our next lab activity.\r\n\r\nStudents will continue using the stools as we move into upcoming units that emphasize collaboration, data collection, and hands-on investigations. With a more stable and supportive workspace, students are better prepared to engage in longer lab activities and group problem-solving tasks. These stools will continue to support student focus, participation, and collaboration as we deepen our work in scientific inquiry and exploration.","fullyFundedDate":1775792965150,"projectUrl":"project/active-seating/10185555/","projectTitle":"Active Seating","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Honaas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10476127"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_48084","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":750,"numTeachers":50,"percentFrplEligible":68,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":48,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":47,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":2,"gradesServed":"7 - 9","studentTeacherRatio":"15.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":85.7,"schoolId":48084,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Sterling Elementary Intermediate School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Sterling Elementary Intermediate School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/washington/eastmont-school-district-206/sterling-interm-school/48084"}
