We received the laptop at the end of the school year, and I was truly surprised and grateful. Your support came at a time when so many resources such as books, laptops, and other materials were being taken away due to budget cuts. It was discouraging, especially since these losses affect the students I work with the most. Children who already face challenges due to their individual disabilities.\r\n\r\nWhen I learned that our project had been fully funded, I was both shocked and excited. I had never done a DonorsChoose project before, so I didn't expect much. Knowing that there are people out there who want to help kids succeed was uplifting, and I couldn't wait to share the news with my class.\r\n\r\nThe process of setting up the laptop took some time, as we had to go through multiple district steps to receive, configure, and prepare it for use. Only this past month have we been able to start using it in the classroom. We are now in the process of setting up licenses so our students can access a range of intervention programs such as DreamBox, Core5 Lexia, and Math Connections. These tools will allow us to target specific skill areas and better structure our interventions.\r\n\r\nOur students are always excited to use technology in the classroom, and we are thrilled to have this new resource. Thank you again for your generosity. I look forward to sharing updates with you as we see the impact this laptop will have on our students' learning.","fullyFundedDate":1741367557415,"projectUrl":"project/bridging-learning-gaps-a-laptop-for-spe/8943157/","projectTitle":"Bridging Learning Gaps: A Laptop for SPED Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. RAMIREZ","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9836539"},{"teacherId":7924002,"projectId":9049981,"letterContent":"The hands on learning materials have greatly impacted first grade students learning. \r\n\r\nChildren have built confidence in their math schools as they have learned to independently use the foam number line path to guide them in counting correctly. \r\n\r\nStudents have used the path to correct math errors, such as misconceptions.
