This is the second year we offer our students the opportunity to participate in our Running Club during recess, every school day, with the ultimate goal of encouraging development of healthy fitness habits and optimal level of fitness. To motivate students, we provide the opportunity to earn two small prizes for every five miles completed. We track their progress using a program purchased by our PTO. \r\n Your donation of erasable pens, motivational pens, mini notebooks, fidgets, mini yo-yo's, mini rubix cubes and many more items, allowed us to continue providing these little incentives to our hardworking runners. I have told our runners the story about your kindness and I wish you could see the joy on their faces. Since your donation, our 680 runners added over 3,000 miles to the total for the year. Every time they visit the prize boxes you can hear them talk about their next visit and the next prize they will choose.\r\n Our students run for the joy of being part of the club, for seeing their miles totals on the Running Club Bulletin Board, and also for earning a visit to the prize box.
