In my class, I teach students how to 3D design on the computer and then they have the opportunity to use the school's 3D printers to bring their ideas to the real world. Sometimes there is a disconnect between creation on the computer and then it suddenly appears in their hands. \r\n\r\nThe 3D printing pens allow students to be connected to their project and build their object using their own two hands. The students practiced making different shapes at first and then they made a small box. Since I received the pens right before Christmas, I had the students design a Christmas ornament they could build and then hang on their tree. I had students who don't celebrate Christmas design and make another object that could be hung in the window or on the wall.
