Thanks to your support of this project, we are using the Vernier LabQuest 3 to maintain the quality of water for our Trout in the Classroom tank as well as investigate the health of a tributary that feeds into the Appomattox River that runs right through our school grounds. \r\n\r\nMy students are able to collect real-time data outside on temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and we are working on getting equipment that will work with our Vernier LabQuest 3 to test phosphates, nitrates, and turbidity. They watch numbers populate instantly on the screen and immediately begin asking deeper questions and making connections. The technology allows them to move beyond passive observation and into authentic scientific investigation.\r\n\r\nYour support has helped to transform our learning with field-based techniques which empower my students to think critically, collaborate meaningfully, and engage deeply with their environment. Thank you for helping me to extend their learning beyond our classroom walls to allow their curiosity and hands on science to contribute to real-world understanding.","fullyFundedDate":1761869056839,"projectUrl":"project/go-with-the-flow-students-testing-water/9852842/","projectTitle":"Go With the Flow: Students Testing Water Quality","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rowland","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4398050_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1510101792967","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/nicole-rowland"},{"teacherId":4398050,"projectId":8947862,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support! Because of you, our classroom now has a 3D printer, and it has truly opened up a world of new possibilities for my students.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the printer to create models of the concepts we're studying in biology — everything from bacteriophages to cell membranes — and it's been incredible to see how much deeper the students' understanding has grown. Being able to physically build and hold a model has helped them grasp complex ideas in a way that textbooks and diagrams never could.\r\n\r\nThe 3D printer has also given students the chance to bring their creativity into our technology projects. They can now design and print their own creations, combining science, engineering, and artistic design. Watching their confidence and excitement grow as they take an idea from their imagination to a real, tangible object has been amazing.","fullyFundedDate":1732337574287,"projectUrl":"project/biology-in-3d-exploring-life-through-in/8947862/","projectTitle":"Biology in 3D: Exploring Life Through Innovation","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rowland","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4398050_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1510101792967","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/nicole-rowland"},{"teacherId":4398050,"projectId":8785155,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of this project! For many of them, it's been a brand-new way to experience both science and art — and it's all thanks to you.\r\n\r\nHelping students step away from screens and into the fresh air has always been important to me, and your support made that possible in such a meaningful way.
