Your support has made a meaningful difference in my teaching and in my students' learning. The magnetic letters have been especially helpful during reading instruction because they allow my learners to practice letter recognition, letter sounds, word building, and blending in a hands-on way. These materials have made reading lessons more engaging and effective, and I have seen my students grow in confidence as they strengthen their early literacy skills.\r\n\r\nThe blocks and LEGOs have helped my students learn through play while building creativity, fine motor skills, problem-solving skills, and teamwork. The laminating sheets have also been incredibly valuable because they allow me to make my classroom materials stronger, more durable, and reusable for daily instruction. Because of these resources, I am able to prepare learning tools that last longer and continue supporting my students throughout the school year.\r\n\r\nThe number bond materials have made Math lessons more meaningful by helping students understand number relationships, addition, and number sense in a clear and hands-on way. The weather puzzles have also brought Science lessons to life by helping my learners better understand weather concepts through interactive learning. Your generosity has made my teaching more effective and has given my students access to materials that help them stay engaged, learn in different ways, and grow especially in reading. Students are now able to gather comfortably during small group instruction, which has increased engagement, focus, and participation. The flexible seating makes it easier to transition between whole group and small group instruction, allowing me to provide targeted support efficiently.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic graphing paper has become an essential daily teaching tool. I use it for modeling math problems, quick mini-lessons, and visual examples that students can easily reference during independent work. Because the notes stay visible and organized on the board, students frequently look back at them for guidance, building independence and reinforcing concepts without constantly needing teacher assistance.\r\n\r\nThe paper organizer has significantly improved classroom organization and student access to materials. I now keep ready-made activity sheets, templates, and frequently used resources neatly arranged and easy to grab. Students can independently access the materials they need, which saves instructional time and supports smooth transitions during rotations and centers.\r\n\r\nOverall, these resources have strengthened small group instruction, increased student independence, and improved classroom efficiency. They are used daily and continue to support meaningful learning experiences for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1766187515602,"projectUrl":"project/small-groups-big-growth/9694041/","projectTitle":"Small Groups, Big Growth","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Roja","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10246437_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757254733191","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10246437"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_34357","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":385,"numTeachers":35,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":42,"percentWhite":25,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":25,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"11.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":54.5,"schoolId":34357,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Occohannock Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Occohannock Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/virginia/northampton-county-public-school-district/occohannock-elementary-school/34357"}
