The blue background with the light blue circles is so calming and peaceful. The children love it so much. As soon, as I and a few little helpers got it laid out on the floor, they began jumping on it! So excited! \r\n\r\nThe rug is soft and cozy. It is a popular spot for book reading. We spend a few minutes each day, laying down (or sitting) and enjoying the peacefulness of a good book. It has also become the most popular spot during our center time. The children love to spread out their legos and work together. I love that it provides a natural boundary for keeping the legos together and the room a bit safer to walk around in. I enjoy holding math and literacy small group there, as we can use the circles to hold \r\n\r\nI hope you enjoy the pictures that show the children engaged on the Cozy Carpet in both individual and group activities. How are you and your students using the new resources? Share a specific classroom project or moment.\r\nMy Pre-K students are using the tambourines and egg shakers during our daily music and movement time. We have been exploring rhythm by listening to songs and practicing tapping or shaking along with the beat. One special moment happened when we read a story about animals and the students used the instruments to make sounds for each animal—soft shaking for butterflies and louder tambourine taps for elephants marching. The headphones have also been helpful during our listening centers so students can hear songs and stories clearly without distractions. The disinfectant wipes help us keep our classroom materials clean and safe for everyone to use.\r\n\r\n2. How did your students react when they first saw the materials?\r\nThe students were so excited when they saw the new instruments! They immediately wanted to try the tambourines and egg shakers and were eager to make music together. Their faces lit up when they realized they each had a chance to play. They also loved seeing the \"We Can Do Hard Things\" neon light in our classroom. It has quickly become a positive reminder that encourages them to keep trying when something feels challenging.\r\n\r\n3. What are the next steps for your students on a current classroom lesson or project?\r\nNext, we will continue building on our music and movement lessons by learning about different rhythms and patterns. Students will practice following beats, creating their own simple rhythms, and using instruments during story time and songs. We will also continue using the headphones for listening centers where students can enjoy audiobooks, music, and phonics activities that support early literacy. These resources will help us keep learning in fun, engaging, and meaningful ways every day.","fullyFundedDate":1769192051090,"projectUrl":"project/ms-dennis-learning-retreat-ii/10031780/","projectTitle":"Ms. Dennis' Learning Retreat II","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dennis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10406532_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1770089490509","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10406532"},{"teacherId":9243080,"projectId":9651275,"letterContent":"I would like to extend my deepest and most heartfelt thanks to you for your incredibly generous donation of a classroom rug for my students. Your thoughtfulness and support have made a meaningful and lasting impact on our learning environment, and I am truly grateful for your kindness.\r\n\r\nThe classroom rug you donated has already become an essential part of our daily routine. In an early learning classroom, creating a space where students feel safe, comfortable, and organized is extremely important. Thanks to your donation, each student now has their own clearly defined space during large group instruction and circle time activities. This has helped foster a sense of belonging, structure, and independence for every child.\r\n\r\nBefore receiving the rug, it was sometimes challenging to maintain consistent organization during whole-group lessons. Young learners thrive when expectations are clear and routines are predictable. The rug provides visual and physical boundaries that help students understand where they should sit, how to respect personal space, and how to engage appropriately with peers. This has significantly improved focus, behavior, and participation during lessons, read-alouds, discussions, and social-emotional learning activities.\r\n\r\nBeyond organization, the rug has created a warm and inviting atmosphere in our classroom. It serves as a welcoming gathering place where students come together to learn, share ideas, listen to stories, sing songs, and build relationships with one another. Many of our most meaningful moments happen during circle time, and your donation has enhanced these experiences by giving students a comfortable and inclusive space to learn as a community.\r\n\r\nYour generosity also supports important developmental skills. By having individual spaces on the rug, students are learning self-regulation, respect for others, and responsibility for their learning environment. These skills extend far beyond the classroom and play a vital role in their growth both academically and socially. It is amazing to see how something as simple as a rug can have such a powerful influence on student success.\r\n\r\nPlease know that your contribution does not go unnoticed. Every day, your generosity positively affects the learning experiences of each child in my classroom. You have helped create an environment where students can feel confident, supported, and ready to learn. Your willingness to invest in education and in the lives of young learners speaks volumes about your character and commitment to the community.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my students and myself, thank you once again for your thoughtful and impactful donation. We are sincerely appreciative of your support, and we will continue to benefit from your kindness for many years to come. Your generosity has truly made a difference, and we are honored to have your support.","fullyFundedDate":1760693775480,"projectUrl":"project/a-spot/9651275/","projectTitle":"A Spot","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jones","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9243080"},{"teacherId":7721733,"projectId":6175266,"letterContent":"Our boys and girls LOVE the rewards that you so generously provided for us.
