The students are so excited to start using the aquaponic fish tank. When the materials arrived, first, they said what is that? I love when they are wondering things and ask questions, that means they are wanting to learn and learning. We then discussed what it was, what we would be doing with it in class, and why we were going to use it in class. We went through the directions to set up the tank and now have to wait two days until we can put our fish in the tank. The students are so excited to get the fish in the tank and start watching our seeds grow. They can't wait to be able to taste the sprouts (pea microgreens) that we will be growing with the poop, as they say. \r\n\r\nStudents are going to be able to compare/contrast the different gardening techniques. It will also show the relationship between the organisms and how they help each other. It will help them understand various career clusters and jobs within those clusters. Hopefully, it will get them excited about learning and finding something they might want to do when they graduate.
