The impact these materials have had on my students is more than just learning about community helpers and careers. They are learning how to play cooperatively with each other, take turns, plan their play, and are learning so much vocabulary and language! As a Special Education classroom, these skills are some of the most important they will learn throughout their early school journey.\r\n\r\nNext steps for my students include generalizing some of the skills they are learning through this dramatic play to other areas of their days. These skills carry over to their special classes such as P.E., art, music, STEM, and more!
