My students are using the new resources during small-group instruction, independent practice, and hands-on learning activities. Having access to engaging, high-quality materials allows me to provide additional opportunities for students to practice skills, build confidence, and take ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate! They were eager to look through everything, ask questions, and begin using the resources. It was exciting to see students who may sometimes be hesitant to participate become more motivated and willing to engage with the lesson. The materials have helped make learning feel more interactive and enjoyable while still supporting important academic skills.\r\n\r\nOne specific way we are using the resources is during our small-group lessons. Students work together to practice reading strategies, answer questions, explain their thinking, and apply what they have learned. These activities give me the opportunity to provide additional support to students who need it while also challenging students who are ready to work more independently.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue using these materials throughout our current lessons and provide students with additional opportunities to practice, collaborate, and demonstrate their understanding. We will continue focusing on strengthening reading comprehension, vocabulary, writing, and problem-solving skills. I am especially excited to see how students' confidence and independence continue to grow as they become more comfortable using the new resources.\r\n\r\nI am incredibly grateful to our donors for investing in my students and our classroom. Your generosity has provided resources that help make learning more engaging, meaningful, and accessible. Thank you for giving my students tools that encourage them to learn, explore, and believe in themselves!","fullyFundedDate":1781867983279,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-young-learners-with-the-right/10341189/","projectTitle":"Empowering Young Learners with the Right Resources","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mooring","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8809209_orig.jpg?crop=398,398,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1666496065899","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8809209"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_34755","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":641,"numTeachers":59,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":72,"percentWhite":10,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":7,"gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"10.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":61.8,"schoolId":34755,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about C Alton Lindsay Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"C Alton Lindsay Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/virginia/hampton-city-schools/c-alton-lindsay-middle-school/34755"}
