Each day we have at least 2-3 students who come to school extremely hungry and constantly asking for food. While our school is able to provide breakfast ad lunch for our students, it is hardly enough to satisfy a typical elementary student, much less a 200 pound high schooler. In addition, our school lacks a PTA or outside organizations who may be willing to supply items necessary for the nourishment of our stiudents. Donors Choose has provided an opportunity to supply the snacks to supplement the meals which are served at school. \r\nFor the past couple of months, we have been able to put a smile on the faces of our students by issuing food that we received as a result of our generous donors. The students have been very appreciative and surprised at the fact that strangers are willing to supply their basic needs. My appreciation for Donors Choose goes far beyond words. In the times that we live in, it is heartwarming to find people who are willing to pour their personal resources into strangers with 'no strings attached'.
