{"monthlySchoolDonationEnabled":true,"callToActionDisplayName":"Colonial Beach High School","outOfStateSupporters":23.8,"allowSchoolLevelGiving":true,"hasFundedProjects":true,"projectGratitudeData":[{"teacherId":9988385,"projectId":10257744,"letterContent":"For a few years, the Guitar Students at Colonial Beach High School (CBHS) have been practicing on the only guitars they've ever had access to, which are poor tone and size-appropriate for late elementary to early middle school aged students. The students are dedicated musicians and have learned and accomplished a lot using the materials available to them, they are now ELATED that we have two new, full-size acoustic guitars on which to practice and perform. \r\n\r\nMy Guitar 2 students, who are at advanced beginner to early intermediate level of musicianship, are the ones who have directly benefitted from this donation. Because these new guitars are in such high demand, my students and I had to develop a rotation schedule for use of the instruments. Practice has become a lot more focused and intentional because the students eagerly anticipate their turn to play the new guitars.\r\n\r\nIn late April 2027, the CBHS Guitar Ensemble will perform alongside Art Students from my colleague's classroom in what has become an annual event at Colonial Beach's Town Hall. Their performance at the previous event in April 2026 was amazing. I can't wait to share their growth in musicianship with our close extended community.
