It has been a year full of learning and growth in art for my students and myself and it wouldn't have been possible without the generous donations from each of you! \r\n Students created many beautiful projects this year, including waterlilies inspired by Monet, 3D snakes made out of beads and pipe cleaners, Dogs inspired by Keith Haring, Basquiat self-portraits, and so much more. \r\n My wonderful students learned not only about many famous and inspiring artists over the course of this year, but they learned how to use many new art tools as well. Kwik sticks were a huge hit, and everyone in my room got so excited when they would hear we were using them for another project. Students also loved getting to use the LCD drawing tablets at the end of class. Their creativity and imaginations were allowed to soar when they had free time and could easily draw whatever was on their minds. Paint was another favorite amongst students, and we really honed in on how to properly use paintbrushes and other painting supplies this year. \r\n Not only did my students learn about so many new fantastic artists and tools, many of them also found a confidence in themselves that wasn't there at the beginning of the year. My kiddos have grown tremendously both artistically and personally with the help of everyone who contributed to my classroom.
