In a kindergarten classroom, everyone spends a lot of time on the floor. Rather for story time, morning meeting, small group centers, or a whole group lesson, having a designated area that can bring everyone together was desperately needed. This particular rug is perfect for our age group because it has rows of colored squares. This enables students to have their own organized personal space when needed.\r\n The first day the students came into the classroom and saw the beautiful soft rug they were full of excitement. Mouths were open, \"wows\" were said, and they couldn't wait to use it. Not only that, but students from previous years regularly stop by to say \"Hi\" in the morning. They all commented on how pretty it was and how they wish they had been able to use it and how they like this classroom better than when they were in here before. So, THANK YOU for your kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness. We are putting it to good use.","fullyFundedDate":1754068516056,"projectUrl":"project/a-rug-to-bring-the-class-together/9501743/","projectTitle":"A Rug to Bring the Class Together","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Carnley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10094310"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_33559","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":167,"numTeachers":13,"percentFrplEligible":40,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":86,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"12.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":80.0,"schoolId":33559,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Otter River Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Otter River Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/virginia/bedford-county-public-school-district/otter-river-elementary-school/33559"}
