It came just in time before the cold. They loved their winter gloves and choosing a color to match with their winter coats. They all put on their gloves immediately. They were able to grab onto the monkey bars and the swings with warm hands. \r\n\r\nWe ended our day with a read-loud of \"How to Catch a Snowman\" while savoring a cup of hot chocolate.\r\n\r\nThey brought their snowman books home for winter break to read. When school resumed in January, they all expressed how much they appreciated their new books. Many kids shared their favorite parts and even read them to their younger siblings. The xylophones have allowed the students to expand their learning from only having bucket drums to hit to learning to read notes on a music staff and play songs on the xylophones. One of my fourth grade students had requested us to play a song from squid games and the class all cheered and were excited to start learning it on the xylophones. That would not have been possible without your donation. \r\n\r\nWith the concert quickly approaching, our next steps involve refining technique, building confidence, and preparing students to perform songs including Jingle Bells and \"Jump Rope\" from Squid Games.
