Your generosity gave my students new opportunities to learn, create, and grow throughout the school year.\r\n\r\nThe hands-on materials, including pipe cleaners, watercolors, and glue sticks, gave my students opportunities to be creative while strengthening their fine motor skills. They loved being able to use their imaginations and create projects of their own. The dry erase markers and magnets also made our lessons more interactive. Students were able to practice skills, share their thinking, and participate actively during instruction.\r\n\r\nThe organizational supplies and classroom essentials helped our classroom stay organized and ready for learning each day. Having the materials we needed readily available helped students spend less time waiting and more time learning.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite parts of this project was having new books to share with my students. Our read-alouds gave us opportunities to come together as a class, enjoy stories, talk about our experiences, and reflect on how much we had grown throughout first grade. The 3D printing filament you provided allowed students to bring their own CAD designs to life.\r\n\r\nAfter taking a virtual reality tour of ancient Egypt, students explored an ancient spinning top found in King Tut's tomb. They used CAD software to design their own replicas and then watched as those designs were printed into real objects. Seeing something they created on the computer become a physical object was exciting and empowering for them.\r\n\r\nThis project connected math, history, and technology in a meaningful way.
