The impact your donation has made is so much greater than I had anticipated!\r\nI wish that you could have been there for the big reveal. My shy kids were not shy in this moment! They made incredible predictions and connections between our learning about erosion and what might happen in the tumbler. As we progressed through the 4 different grits, my students talked about the similarities and differences they were seeing, which tied directly into our comparison writing for our literacy unit. Every single kid was able to share a fact they knew about plate tectonics after our unit to earn a freshly tumbled rock!\r\nOur kindergarten buddies have also been enthralled with the rock tumbler. My students have been working with their kindergarten buddies on venn diagrams, and the rocks have been a perfect place to practice their language around comparisons. Thank you so much for this gift.
