The sensory materials are supporting student engagement and regulation. The regulation materials have allowed us to teach our students about how to calm their own bodies with some adult support. \r\nThe students have enjoyed the creative outlet afforded to them with the new art materials. They are learning to illustrate and tell stories about their lives. The students enjoy the easel and being able to practice drawing and writing on a vertical surface, which supports their continued development and growth. \r\nThe sensory table has transformed our classroom and provided students with a safe, protected place to experience different materials.
