At my beginning of the year survey, many of the students said that they wanted to incorporate more visual arts into their language arts experience. They have already customized their own daily use journals, and I love being able to see their personality shine through the pictures that they choose. \r\nFor our annual senior sunrise parking lot party, we used the glitters and paints to create photo opportunities for the students to celebrate the beginning of their final year of high school. \r\nStudents have used markers and other creative supplies to create posters for the hallway which display quotes from their favorite novels, songs and poems. \r\nSo far- this donation package is having exactly the impact that I hoped for. Not only have I been able to read some of these books in my class, other English teachers have been able to use them in their instruction as well. They had a difficult time picking what book they wanted to read first because they all intrigued them so much.
