Because of you, our classroom now has The Legend of Rock, Paper, Scissors; Dragons Love Tacos; Dragons Love Tacos 2; the complete Land of Stories series; and a set of kickbands. Your kindness has truly made an immediate and exciting impact on my students.\r\n\r\nThe Legend of Rock, Paper, Scissors quickly became a read-aloud favorite. Its humor and lively storytelling have my students laughing, predicting, and reading it again.\r\n\r\nThe Dragons Love Tacos books have also become go-tos during independent reading. Their silly tone and fun illustrations make them incredibly inviting, especially for students who sometimes hesitate to pick up a book. These titles have sparked creative writing prompts, discussions, and lots of giggles.\r\n\r\nThe full Land of Stories series has been especially exciting for my stronger, more advanced readers. Having an entire collection like this helps build reading stamina and gives students a world they can stay connected to over time.\r\n\r\nThe kickbands have made a quiet but powerful difference as well. Students who benefit from movement now have a tool that helps them stay focused and comfortable during lessons. I've already seen improved attention and confidence from several children because of this simple addition.\r\n\r\nYour donation brought more than just books and materials—you brought joy, motivation, and new opportunities for learning. Thank you for believing in our classroom and for giving my students resources that inspire them to read, imagine, and succeed. We are so grateful for your generosity and support.","fullyFundedDate":1761064043779,"projectUrl":"project/usbe-ai-for-k12-education-books-and-cha/9846149/","projectTitle":"USBE AI for K–12 Education Books and Chair","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Vernon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10322421_orig.jpg?crop=720,720,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760840374237","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10322421"},{"teacherId":10322597,"projectId":9846409,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for all that you have contributed for when it came to my classroom. \r\nThe students are in love with the books that were generously donated from you all. They love Bad Guy books and are so happy to have them in the class for easy access to read. They also were so happy for the clorax wipes to keep cleaning our classroom and make it a safe and clean environment for all. \r\nMy students and I enjoyed using the toy wind up cars that were included in the donation. How I was able to turn those wind up cars into a learning experience was by talking to them about collision. After discussing collision, we used the cars to collide with eachother and see how force and speed play apart in the transfer of energy. When they first saw the cars, they were so excited. They thought it was a great experiment in our science class. \r\nAgain, thank you so much for all that you have done for my classroom, we are all so lucky to have been given this oppurtunity to have these materials.","fullyFundedDate":1761139597696,"projectUrl":"project/stay-clean-and-read-books-usbe-ai-for-k/9846409/","projectTitle":"Stay Clean and Read Books (USBE AI for K–12 Education)","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Allan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10322597"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_49544","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":669,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":48,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":6,"percentWhite":56,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":28,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":77.0,"schoolId":49544,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Horizon Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Horizon Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/utah/murray-city-school-district/horizon-elementary-school/49544"}
