Your support has transformed our classroom into a dynamic, multi-sensory learning environment, and I'm excited to share how these materials are making a difference for our students.\r\n\r\nThe flexible seating options have been a game-changer for student focus and comfort. With 30 ECR4Kids Surf portable lap desks, students can choose where and how they work — whether that's sitting on the floor, at a traditional desk, or finding a quiet corner. The Bouncy Bands for desk, installed on six of our desks, give students who need movement a way to stay active while they work. I've noticed that when students can move and adjust their position, they stay engaged longer and produce better work. These options have been especially helpful for students who struggle with sitting still for extended periods.\r\n\r\nOur sensory and hands-on materials have opened new pathways for learning. The Mad Mattr sensory dough and 250 Wikki Stix Mini Play Paks give students something to manipulate while they listen to lessons or discuss readings. For many students, having something in their hands actually helps them focus better on what they're hearing. The 96 arrow-shaped magnetic bookmarks and 3,000 pieces of transparent highlighter tape have made annotating texts more accessible and fun. Students can mark important passages without damaging books, and the colorful tools make the work feel less like a chore and more like an interactive experience.\r\n\r\nThe tie-dye kits have brought creativity and connection to our classroom. With 15 kits, every student has been able to create their own unique designs. This hands-on art activity has been a wonderful way to build community and give students a creative outlet. The process of planning and executing their tie-dye designs has also reinforced skills like following directions, planning ahead, and taking pride in finished work — all of which transfer to their academic work.\r\n\r\nOur movement and physical activity equipment has made learning more active and engaging. The 35-foot Sportime GripStarChute parachute with 36 handles has become a favorite for team-building activities and outdoor lessons that get students moving while they learn. The kickball, mini basketballs, and rainbow sports balls have added energy to our outdoor reading breaks and incentive activities. Even the heavy punching bag with stand has provided a unique outlet for students who need physical release to reset and refocus.\r\n\r\nThe karaoke machine with two wireless microphones has enhanced our classroom in so many ways. We use it for oral presentations, poetry readings, and even singing sessions that make lessons more memorable. Students who might be hesitant to speak up in a traditional setting often find their voice through the microphone, building confidence that carries over to their regular participation.\r\n\r\nOrganization and accessibility have also improved significantly. The jumbo magnetic notebook paper for our whiteboard makes modeling writing and annotation easy for everyone to see. The magnetic display shelves and heavy-duty magnetic hooks keep materials visible and accessible. The AFMAT electric pencil sharpener has ended the frustration of dull pencils, and the Goo Gone adhesive remover helps us keep our space clean and welcoming.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, I've been able to meet the diverse needs of my 7th graders in ways I never could before. Students have more choices, more movement, and more ways to engage with learning. The combination of sensory tools, flexible seating, hands-on activities, and physical movement has created a classroom where every student can find their path to success.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this possible. Your kindness has created a vibrant, engaging learning environment where our 7th graders can thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1749473257975,"projectUrl":"project/move-groove-and-learn/9396860/","projectTitle":"Move, Groove, and Learn!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Fawcett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/fawcett"},{"teacherId":2865774,"projectId":8575568,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your incredible generosity in funding organization and audio equipment for our language arts classrooms at West Hills Middle School. Your support has made a meaningful difference for our 6th through 8th grade students, and I'm excited to share how these materials are transforming their learning experience.\r\n\r\nThe ten VEVOR literature organizers have been a game-changer for classroom organization. With 36 compartments each, these sturdy mailboxes give every student a dedicated space to store their papers, assignments, and class materials. Students no longer struggle to keep track of their work — they know exactly where to find what they need and where to turn in completed assignments. This has reduced lost papers and helped students develop better organizational habits, which are essential skills for middle school success. The adjustable shelves allow us to customize the compartments to fit different types of materials, from thin worksheets to thicker packets and notebooks.\r\n\r\nThe extension cords and power strips have solved a persistent challenge in our classrooms. With three Black 1 to 4 splitter extension cords and two W4W twin extension cord power strips, we now have accessible outlets throughout the room. Students can easily plug in laptops, tablets, and other devices without having to search for available power sources or stretch cords across walkways. The weatherproof covers on the splitters mean we can safely use them outdoors as well. The Lichamp colored electrical tape has helped us label and organize cords, preventing tangles and making it clear which cords belong to which stations. This improved access to power has streamlined our technology use and allowed students to work more independently.\r\n\r\nThe karaoke machine has opened up new possibilities for our outdoor lessons and activities. With its portable Bluetooth speaker and two wireless microphones, students can now hear instructions clearly, even when we're learning outside. This has been especially valuable for group discussions, poetry readings, and presentations in our outdoor spaces. The machine's versatility means we can also use it for indoor activities, from listening to audio recordings to hosting class celebrations. Students have been more engaged and participatory during outdoor lessons because they can hear and be heard without straining.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, my fellow language arts teachers and I have been able to create more organized, accessible learning environments. Students spend less time searching for materials and more time focused on learning. The improved organization has also reduced classroom clutter and created a more calming atmosphere where students can concentrate.\r\n\r\nThese materials have allowed us to take learning outside more frequently and effectively. We can now hold outdoor writing workshops, literature discussions, and group activities with confidence that every student can participate fully. The combination of indoor organization and outdoor audio capability has given us flexibility we didn't have before.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this possible. Your kindness has helped 500 students across our language arts classes stay organized, engaged, and ready to learn.","fullyFundedDate":1730412702400,"projectUrl":"project/easy-and-organized-access-to-class-mater/8575568/","projectTitle":"Easy and Organized Access to Class Materials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Fawcett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/fawcett"},{"teacherId":2865774,"projectId":6691476,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your incredible generosity in funding focus tools for our 7th grade classroom. Your support has made a tangible difference in my students' daily learning experience, and I'm excited to share how these materials are helping them succeed.\r\n\r\nThe headphones you provided have transformed our classroom environment. With 34 headphones now available, every student can access online learning resources, listen to audio recordings, and complete digital assignments without distraction. During independent work time, students can focus on their own tasks while others engage in different activities. The colorful variety of the headphones adds a fun touch, and students appreciate having their own pair to use. These headphones have been especially valuable for students who need quiet to concentrate, as well as for those who benefit from hearing instructions repeated or listening to content at their own pace.\r\n\r\nThe clip-on fans have also been a game-changer. With nine fans positioned around the room, we've created a more comfortable learning space, especially during warmer months. Students can clip them to their desks or workstations, giving them control over their immediate environment. The quiet operation means they stay cool without any added noise distraction. I've noticed that when students are physically comfortable, they're better able to focus on their work and stay engaged in lessons.\r\n\r\nThe oversized visual timer has become an essential tool for building time management skills. Its large, easy-to-read display helps students see exactly how much time remains for tasks, transitions, and activities. This visual support reduces anxiety for students who struggle with time awareness and helps everyone stay on track. We use it for everything from timed writing prompts to group work rotations, and it has made our classroom routines smoother and more predictable.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, I've been able to create a classroom environment that meets students' sensory and focus needs. The combination of quiet, comfort, and clear time expectations has helped my students develop better work habits and take more ownership of their learning. I've seen increased engagement, fewer distractions, and greater independence during work time.\r\n\r\nThese focus tools have also allowed me to differentiate instruction more effectively. Students can work at their own pace using headphones, stay comfortable with fans, and manage their time with the timer—all while I can provide targeted support to small groups or individual students. Your donation has truly enhanced my ability to meet the diverse needs of my 7th graders.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this possible. Your support brought so much joy and energy to our 7th graders, and I'm excited to share how your gift made a difference.\r\n\r\nWhen our students first saw the tie-dye materials, their eyes lit up—they couldn't wait to get creative. Each student designed and dyed their own shirt, bringing a burst of color and individuality to our classroom. The tie-dye activity connected directly to our current novel, The Wednesday Wars, helping students experience the 1960s in a hands-on way. It sparked meaningful conversations about the era and deepened their connection to the story.\r\n\r\nThe party was a celebration in every sense. There was karaoke, where students cheered on their classmates and won prizes for singing. We enjoyed snacks, held playful races—including a hilarious remote control rat competition—and took pictures for the yearbook to capture these memories. This event was also a well-earned celebration after completing state tests, giving students a chance to relax and have fun together.\r\n\r\nWith these new materials and experiences, my students are more engaged in our reading and discussions. Next, we'll use their tie-dye creations as inspiration for personal writing projects about the 1960s and reflections on how history shapes our lives today.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making all of this possible. Each week, at least three or four students specifically express their appreciation for having more physical books to pick from, especially graphic novels and young adult fiction that reflect their interests.\r\n\r\nThe expanded library has fostered an inclusive and enthusiastic reading environment.
