Using the higher quality supplies, I noticed a remarkable increase in their enthusiasm and engagement during art lessons. Many students commented on how much easier it was to create art using better supplies.\r\nThe overall quality of artwork produced this year has far exceeded that of previous years, which I attribute largely to the access to better materials. Students are not only more invested in their creative process, but they are also taking greater pride in their finished pieces. It has been inspiring to see their confidence grow as they realize what they are capable of achieving with the right resources.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, the excitement continues to build as students prepare for their upcoming open studio projects. They are eagerly planning what they will create, and many have already expressed their intention to incorporate the new paints and other supplies you so generously provided. Your support has truly enriched their learning experience and opened up new possibilities for their artistic expression.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your generosity and commitment to our students' success. Our club is bursting at the seams. The giant fan we stuck near the door is a total necessity--there are so many hardworking young men and women in the club that the room quickly becomes a stinky place. Good problems to have. \r\n\r\nWe have this problem because generous donors like you gave us the funds to purchase new weights and new equipment. We started out a couple of years ago with all of the equipment fitting inside a single closet. Now we have our own space and stationary equipment that doesn't need to be hauled in and out every day. \r\n\r\nWe are very grateful to have your support. Thank you for believing in the Weights Club. At West Hills Middle School our students benefit from a hands on style curriculum. It should be obvious, but when students can engage in a hands on way with the phenomena that we are studying, their learning is enhanced. \r\nThe weights and spring scales in particular help students to realize the truths of Newton's Laws: the force required to move an object is increased when the object has more mass or when the surface has more or less friction. Since they can measure the actual force using the spring scale they can be convinced when their brain doesn't want to believe it.\r\nAlso, collecting and analyzing data are important science skills that we also want students to experience and master.\r\n\r\nI really appreciate your support to help the students be able to succeed in science and become better citizens of the future.","fullyFundedDate":1731514947247,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-learning-with-spring-scales/8741465/","projectTitle":"Hands-on Learning with Spring Scales","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Arnesen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7816111"},{"teacherId":6939047,"projectId":8668845,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous donation to our art program.
