The use of the iPad is a daily activity in my classroom, especially teaching reading. Using the iPad would provide me to be able to record critical lessons to post to Canvas for students who are in quarantine or absent, read aloud tests to accommodate for IEPs and do virtual IEPs. The Oculus VR would help support my students with virtual field trips. Field trips are something that they have been unable to enjoy for over 2 years. This would support academic as well as sensory related learning. By donating to our project, you will not only help improve and increase student attention and focus on curriculum, but you will also support and broaden academic achievement overall. With these materials students will be assured that they have the curriculum they need to be successful at reach whether they be at home during a closure or at school in the learning environment. In addition, having this technology, in a technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to lear and use new technology.
