The whiteboards immediately got students on their feet, moving away from screens to brainstorm, collaborate, and map solutions like real professionals during our \"Start-Up Challenge.\" This physical, non-digital collaboration was crucial when one team's digital pitch presentation crashed; instead of panicking, they quickly used a whiteboard to sketch out their key selling points, delivering a pitch with real entrepreneurial agility. Meanwhile, the charging stations have been a quiet but powerful game-changer, eliminating the constant distraction of dead batteries and allowing groups to maintain focus and momentum during deep work sessions.\r\n\r\nThe student reaction was immediate and exciting; they viewed the whiteboards not as school supplies, but as professional tools that signaled a serious change in our class structure. They were visibly energized, recognizing that the room now truly feels like the \"startup space\" we aimed for—an environment where movement and high-stakes collaboration are the norm, replacing compliance with genuine, hands-on engagement. We are currently moving the Start-Up Challenge into the market validation phase. Teams will continue to use the whiteboards as central data visualization tools, organizing customer interviews, comparing feedback, and quickly iterating on their designs before finalizing their long-term business strategies. Thank you for powering this shift to real-world, dynamic learning!","fullyFundedDate":1755714946472,"projectUrl":"project/powering-up-collaboration-whiteboards-a/9536357/","projectTitle":"Powering Up Collaboration: Whiteboards and Charging Stations for Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Kammerman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6602552_orig.jpg?crop=400,400,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1704759533692","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6602552"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_108904","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":500,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":25,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":69,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":19,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"11 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":91.3,"schoolId":108904,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Jordan Academy Technical Career South on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Jordan Academy Technical Career South","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/utah/jordan-school-district/jordan-academy-for-technology-and-careers-south/108904"}
