These notebooks have already made a positive impact—students are more engaged, better prepared, and excited to write, reflect, and problem-solve each day. Having their own materials helps them feel confident and valued, and it allows us to spend more time learning and less time worrying about supplies. The headphones include microphones, which are beneficial for video recordings and other assignments requiring audio input. The microphones function effectively. Additionally, the use of individual bags has improved organization; previously, students stored mice and headphones in a shared bucket, which was inefficient. Now, each student has a dedicated bag to keep their headphones, mouse, and computer, enhancing classroom organization and functionality.","fullyFundedDate":1757560250083,"projectUrl":"project/computer-and-mice-oh-my/9490466/","projectTitle":"Computer and Mice Oh My...","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Langford","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5585978_orig.jpg?crop=570,570,x70,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1642986124711","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5585978"},{"teacherId":10033248,"projectId":9347827,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations! We have been so grateful to have the best tools available to us for our learning. The kids were so excited to open these boxes up, and see all the amazing materials donated to our classroom. We have used all materials daily, and it would not have been possible without your support.\r\n\r\nWhile our students have one-on-one devices, it was very difficult for them to maneuver a Chromebook trackpad on their own. Having their own mouse has been such a game changer. They are able to use their device more effectively, and learn basic computer skills while using them. We have been taking on coding activities this year, and being able to drag objects to use has been such a relief for these kids. Also, with teaching a split class, the headphones have been the best gift of all. With so much small group going on, kids need some one on one instruction for them through their device. This got very tricky with the limited headphones we previously had (most of which were barely working). Now all students have been able to use these effectively, to receive the instruction they need at their level (without noise bothering those around them).\r\n\r\nLastly, another big help has been our primary ruled notebooks. We use these each day for students to practice their writing skills. They love it anytime we get to pull these out, because they are so meaningful to the kids. They don't receive much, and the idea that they get to keep their work as they become authors is so exciting for them. It also allows them to see the progress they are making.\r\n\r\nThank you again so much for your kind and wonderful donations.
