Not only have they provided deep thinking, working together, communication skills, and excitement; they have been great for a behavior incentive because they are loved so dearly! Thank you! Thank you! \r\nWhen the boxes arrived, we were so happy! We discussed how they would be used and when they would be able to be built! Once they were built students were able to use them when they finished their work to play with a friend or on their own. Their imaginations came to life! \r\nI had a couple of tricky behaviors, and the Legos surprised me when they were a great incentive for good behavior! That was not one of the outcomes I was expecting, a great added bonus to the other skills that have been addressed by letting children build and explore with Legos.","fullyFundedDate":1770226123286,"projectUrl":"project/lego-friends-for-growing-minds/9907726/","projectTitle":"Lego Friends for Growing Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Winn","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7269391_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y534&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1642621805292","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7269391"},{"teacherId":8288986,"projectId":10142098,"letterContent":"Thank you for supporting education and my students. Often times as educators we need to teach life skills that are essential for students to learn. Picture books teach important messages and lessons that students need to be reminded of. It is important for them to hear it from multiple sources such as authors, teachers, parents, etc. for them to learn the value of the skill. I have been able to teach students the importance of being respectful, what kindness looks like, and how to allow others think time instead of just shouting the answer out. My students love learning just as much as I do and I love seeing their expressions when I show them the illustrations in the books.
