These headphones have already made a meaningful difference in our classrooms. For many students, background noise can be overwhelming, especially in busy learning environments. The headphones allow them to focus during reading time, tests, and independent work without being distracted by chatter or hallway sounds. Students who once struggled to stay on task are now more confident and engaged in their learning.\r\nBeyond academics, the headphones also help students manage their emotions and energy levels throughout the day. When a child feels overstimulated, putting on the headphones provides a calm, quiet space that helps them take deep breaths and regain control before returning to the group. Teachers have noticed fewer meltdowns, smoother transitions, and greater self-awareness in students who use them. Your thoughtful gift supports not just learning, but also the emotional well-being and growth of every child.","fullyFundedDate":1755702104993,"projectUrl":"project/self-regulation/9586624/","projectTitle":"Self Regulation","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Grimm","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8568423_orig.jpg?crop=1024,1024,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1659580791441","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8568423"},{"teacherId":8657843,"projectId":9575258,"letterContent":"Dear Donors,\r\n\r\nThank you so much for your generous contribution of noise-canceling headphones, markers, and whiteboards for our classroom. The noise-canceling headphones have created a quieter, more focused learning environment for students who need fewer distractions, while the whiteboards and markers are being used daily for interactive lessons and group collaboration.\r\n\r\nThese resources have brought renewed energy and engagement into our small group sessions. Students are excited to participate, collaborate, and learn in a space that is better suited to their individual needs. My first graders and kindergarteners are always excited when they see them and even my older grades are a bit jealous. \r\n\r\nI use them most frequently with my kindergarteners as they still need help recognizing and finding letters. So far we have spelled our names and simple CVC words. It has been so useful to tell them R is on the green row, or C is in the orange. It also helps reinforce which letters are next to each other so when we move onto our small typing programs they have an easier time locating letters they don't use as often.\r\n\r\nCurrently my kindergartners spend part of their time on \"typing\" lessons and then we learn more about a specific piece of computer hardware. Soon we are going to transition to small block coding lessons using Scratch Jr. \r\n\r\nI'm so grateful to have the fidget boards in my classroom.
