Your generosity has not only enhanced the tools we use each day but has truly elevated the learning experience for my students. I can't thank you enough for helping bring our classroom to life with engaging, hands-on opportunities that support every learner. \r\n\r\nFirst, the iPad styluses have made a tremendous difference in students engagement, especially during reading and language arts. We have been using them during our phonics and morphology lessons, allowing students to annotate directly on interactive slides. This simple tool has completely transformed how we approach decoding and analyzing words. For example, students now use the stylus to chunk multisyllabic words, mark each vowel and consonant pattern, and determine the syllable type. This process helps them sound out complex words and understand how language works in a more visual, tactile way.\r\n\r\nBeyond reading and language, your donation has also brought a new level of excitement to our science instruction. We recently began our science exploration on speed and energy, and the materials you helped fund make these abstract concepts come alive for my students. They were thrilled to build and experiment with the small cars we received. Each student group worked together to investigate how speed changes when more energy is applied. Through these experiments, they discovered-through their own testing and data collection-that the greater the energy, the higher the speed. It was incredible to see their curiosity and teamwork as they tested hypotheses, adjusted ramps and recorded their observations. This kind of hands-on learning is something I value deeply in my classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1755703589965,"projectUrl":"project/driving-discovery-exploring-energy-conv/9594984/","projectTitle":"Driving Discovery: Exploring Energy Conversion & Interactive Learning Tools","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Thompson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10176804"},{"teacherId":4808824,"projectId":9595062,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom! The stylus pens have completely transformed how my students use their iPads. They can now write, draw, and solve math problems with much greater accuracy and confidence. This has made digital learning feel more natural and personal, especially for students who prefer to write by hand. It's amazing to see how engaged they are when completing assignments, sketching diagrams, or annotating texts — all thanks to having the right tools.\r\n\r\nThe STEM kits you provided have been an incredible addition to our science lessons. My students are learning about different forms of energy in a hands-on, meaningful way — building solar cars, exploring how energy converts from one form to another, and seeing real-world applications of what they learn in class. Their excitement and curiosity have grown so much, and it's inspiring to see them working together to solve problems and test their ideas. Your support has truly helped my students become more confident learners and future scientists.","fullyFundedDate":1755703590170,"projectUrl":"project/engaging-science/9595062/","projectTitle":"Engaging Science","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Barton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4808824_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1509487904770","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jori-barton"},{"teacherId":9626754,"projectId":8554435,"letterContent":"Thanks to the Phonics Playground: Multisensory Activities, Centers, and Games for Better Reading!, my students and I have experienced incredible growth in our resource classroom. These resources have become a cornerstone of our learning routine, especially during one-on-one instruction and progress monitoring. One standout moment has been watching my 3rd-grade reading group transform through these tools. These students have struggled with high-frequency and CVC words, but the engaging activities have made decoding feel less intimidating and much more fun. At first, they needed my guidance, but now they confidently navigate the games and activities independently. Seeing their reading skills and independence grow has been nothing short of inspiring!\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw these materials, their excitement was contagious. They couldn't wait to dive in, and they still eagerly request to use the activities during free time. The multisensory approach has turned learning into a game for them, making what once felt like a challenge into an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Their smiles and enthusiasm remind me every day how impactful this project has been on their reading journey.\r\n\r\nAs my students continue to master foundational skills like decoding and reading CVC words, we are excited to move on to more advanced concepts. Building on their success, our next steps involve tackling more challenging reading patterns and multi-syllabic words. Thanks to your generosity, these students now approach new challenges with the confidence and motivation to succeed. We are so grateful for your support and the lasting impact it has made on our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1723662016230,"projectUrl":"project/phonics-playground-multisensory-activit/8554435/","projectTitle":"Phonics Playground: Multisensory Activities, Centers, and Games for Better Reading!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lewis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9626754_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y586&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1761082222661","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9626754"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_93552","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":488,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":6,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":90,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":3,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":79.5,"schoolId":93552,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Snow Horse Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Snow Horse Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/utah/davis-school-district/snow-horse-elementary-school/93552"}
