Throughout the pandemic my elementary students have had a lack of interactions with peers. These supplies will allow my students the opportunity to work in small group settings through which the students will be given a chance to socialize and problem solve in science. I believe that providing multiple opportunities for my students to collaborate can help foster relationships and create an engaged learning environment that makes students excited to come back each day. Many of my students have talked about their feelings of anxiety. For some of these students it has been a challenge getting back in the habit of going to school daily and trying to keep their minds from wandering to the unknown. With hands on science experiments, I hope that I can turn their minds to learning and away from the turmoil in the world.
