They were so excited to receive them! There has been a big difference in their attitudes to sit down and learn now that they are seated more comfortably! \r\n\r\nMy class is large this year and we have about half as many of these new chairs as students. They participate in a table challenge each week and the winners of these challenges get to use the new chairs for the week. They LOVE this challenge and work extra hard to earn them! It has helped us create a fun and positive classroom culture where we all work diligently!\r\n\r\nI am hoping to get a full class set of these chairs by the end of the year to give all students a comfortable and safe seat as they learn each day. For now though, they are so grateful for the chance to share the great seats. This has made it so much easier to access both the student and teacher materials. As an added bonus I've been able to remove a huge set of cubbies to make way for other things!\r\n\r\nThese pocket pouches have made life in the classroom so much easier! My students love to keep their books in these pockets, and they have so much fun taking items in and out of the pockets. This has helped them feel the excitement and joy of being together as a classroom family and community and feel relief from the serious stress that some of their lives have. They love using it to role play through different scenarios. It is a great addition to social emotional learning!
