The new rug has truly transformed our learning environment by bringing a stronger sense of community and empowerment to our space. Since the day it arrived, it has become the heart of our classroom—where we gather for lessons, conversations, stories, and shared experiences. We have already spent countless hours learning and growing together on it.\r\n\r\nThe excitement on my students' faces when the rug was delivered was unforgettable. They were thrilled to see that it had a special spot for every single one of them, creating a place where everyone belongs. Your kindness has made our classroom feel even more welcoming and inclusive, and we are so grateful for your support. So far, we have finished 3 of our reading units including the units on Early Asian Civilizations and Early Greek Civilizations. With the supplies you provided, we were able to have a Chinese New Year celebration complete with red envelopes, candies, and students made lanterns. In addition, we learned a little more about the zodiac signs and the students loved it! Thanks for providing some of those materials. \r\n\r\nAnother activity we just did this week was our own school 2nd grade Olympics after learning a bit about the first Olympics in Ancient Greece. The students competed in a variety of events including horse racing (on blow up horses from this project) and were each awarded either a gold, silver, or bronze medal, also from this project. We had torch bearers holding the blow up torches from this project and overall it was a blast for our students.
