Since receiving the materials, my students have been using them in so many ways that have truly enhanced their learning and creativity, and I can't thank you enough for your support.\r\n\r\nThe first thing that stood out was how much more excited the students were to engage in our daily activities. Kindergarten is a time when children are learning to express themselves, and having fresh, high-quality crayons and markers has made a huge difference in how they approach their work. The bright, vibrant colors really help bring their drawings and projects to life, and it's been incredible to see how much pride they take in their creations. Whether they're drawing their favorite animals, creating scenes from a story, or even experimenting with abstract art, the materials you provided have given them the freedom to explore their creativity without any limitations.\r\n\r\nIn addition to art activities, the crayons and markers have been valuable tools in our literacy and math lessons. For example, we've been using the markers to highlight key words in our reading exercises, which has helped students make connections and understand new vocabulary in a more interactive way. The bright colors also make it easier for them to identify and focus on the most important parts of the text. During phonics activities, they've been able to color-code letters and words, which has reinforced their learning and made it much more engaging. This hands-on approach has allowed them to visually connect with the material, making the lessons feel more like play than work.\r\n\r\nThe students have also used the crayons and markers during journaling time, which has been one of the most rewarding experiences for me. Each day, they write or draw about their experiences, and seeing them use the materials to add color and detail to their journals has been wonderful. Some students who might have been reluctant to write or draw before have become more excited to express themselves. The act of coloring their journals and adding illustrations to their stories has been empowering for them and has helped them develop both their fine motor skills and their ability to communicate ideas.\r\n\r\nOverall, your donation has made a huge difference in my classroom. The students are more engaged, creative, and excited to learn, and it's all thanks to your generosity. I can't thank you enough for helping to provide these essential materials that have had such a positive impact on their educational experience.","fullyFundedDate":1730153259269,"projectUrl":"project/kindergarten-art-and-writing-center/8764893/","projectTitle":"Kindergarten Art and Writing Center","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Smith","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9573429"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_32971","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":585,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":24,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":87,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":67.6,"schoolId":32971,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about River Heights Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"River Heights Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/utah/cache-county-school-district/river-heights-elementary-school/32971"}
