Because of your generosity, my students now have access to 3D pens in the art room, opening a whole new way for them to learn and create. The 3D pens help students move beyond drawing on a flat surface and start thinking about art in three dimensions. As they design and build their creations, they practice problem-solving, spatial thinking, and persistence. Students quickly see that if something doesn't work the first time, they can adjust their design and try again. This hands-on technology lets them experiment, innovate, and see their ideas come to life right in front of their eyes.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students the most is their ability to transform their sketches into tangible, real objects. They love seeing their drawings literally come to life and become sculptures they can hold. I've already seen students who are usually hesitant about art become deeply engaged as they carefully plan and build with the pens. Some students who struggle with traditional drawing have found that they thrive when they can construct and build instead. Your generosity has not only introduced exciting technology into our classroom but also sparked creativity, confidence, and curiosity in our young artists. We've been using the new books and character stuffed animals during read-alouds and literacy centers, and they've made a real difference in engagement. When we read a story, a student holds the matching character and helps us retell key parts or talk about how the character is feeling. The first day I introduced them, the students were so excited to match each stuffed animal to its book. Even some of my quieter students have been more willing to participate when they can hold a character while they share.\r\n\r\nAs we continue building our understanding of story elements like characters, setting, and problem and solution, these materials are giving students a concrete way to practice retelling and discussing stories. They couldn't wait to try everything out, and it was clear how much joy these simple tools brought to them.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, our next steps include connecting outdoor play to classroom learning.
