These pens have already made a tremendous impact by allowing students to turn their creative ideas into tangible 3D models. Many of our students had never worked with 3D printing before, and the 3Doodlers have provided a hands-on, approachable way to explore design, engineering, and problem-solving skills. The technology is helping students understand how digital design and creativity are connected to real-world applications in engineering, art, and technology.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for my students is watching their flat sketches transform into 3D creations they can hold in their hands. They are amazed at how quickly they can bring their ideas to life, from building simple shapes to designing more complex structures. For example, one student who usually struggles with written assignments has really taken to the 3Doodler pens, finding confidence and joy in creating models that show her understanding of class concepts in a new way. Others are experimenting with collaboration, combining their designs into larger projects, which has sparked teamwork and innovation in the classroom.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has not only provided new tools but also opened doors to creativity, confidence, and future possibilities for my students. Thank you again for supporting their learning journey and making such an exciting difference in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1746786046947,"projectUrl":"project/turning-imagination-into-creation-with-3/9115452/","projectTitle":"Turning Imagination Into Creation With 3D Printing Pens!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Troester","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9520334_orig.jpg?crop=1880,1880,x0,y112&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1736778053303","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/tech-apps-troester"},{"teacherId":9574223,"projectId":8961939,"letterContent":"These lightboxes have helped our classroom tremendously. We have already used them for several projects including a self portrait pen and ink project, a favorite candy printmaking project, and now an Art History Florals recreation assignment. These lightboxes have helped students feel more confident in their artistic abilities. The lightboxes bridge the gap for students who cannot draw due to abilities or who just do not have enough drawing experience yet. \r\n\r\n When students first saw the new lightboxes, they were shocked to see that our class had our own. Previously, we borrowed lightboxes from another teacher but they had to be plugged into chrome books and caused a lot of wasted space on our desks. Students asked how much the lightboxes cost and were very grateful to have such a gracious gift. \r\n\r\n Recently, we had our school district's art show at a museum. Several of the students' self portraits were chosen to be displayed. An art one student even won second place in drawing with her self portrait!","fullyFundedDate":1736192866395,"projectUrl":"project/light-boxes-for-artists/8961939/","projectTitle":"Light Boxes for Artists","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Weaver","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9574223"},{"teacherId":9520334,"projectId":9045929,"letterContent":"I am incredibly grateful for your generous donation through DonorsChoose.org. Your support has provided my middle school Technology Applications students with essential tools that have greatly enhanced their learning experience. Many people use technology daily, but seeing how it transforms a classroom is truly special. With the 20-pack bulk classroom headphones with microphones, Konohan 200-pack bulk earbuds, and Power Strip Tower Surge Protector with multiple outlets and USB charging ports, my students can fully engage in digital projects without distractions, whether they are coding, working on multimedia presentations, or exploring new software. Additionally, the pre-sharpened #2 pencils have been a simple yet invaluable resource for brainstorming and sketching designs before translating them into digital creations. \r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting aspects of these new resources is how they allow students to work more efficiently and independently. The headphones and earbuds have made it possible for students to focus on personalized learning activities, such as interactive coding lessons, video editing, and podcast creation, without being disrupted by surrounding noise. The surge protector tower has solved our classroom's ongoing issue of limited outlets, ensuring that all devices remain charged and ready to use. And the addition of A Rover's Story (hardcover) has provided an inspiring connection between technology and storytelling, sparking curiosity about robotics and artificial intelligence. Students are captivated by the story and love discussing its themes alongside their tech projects. \r\n\r\nI've seen some students truly flourish with these new tools. One student, who was previously hesitant about participating in digital storytelling assignments, has been able to use the headphones and recording tools to create an audio-based project that showcases their creativity and confidence. Another student, fascinated by robotics, has drawn inspiration from *A Rover's Story* and is now exploring ways to integrate coding with storytelling. The impact of your generosity reaches far beyond just this school year—these tools are helping students develop problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and a passion for technology that will stay with them for years to come. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness and support. Your donation is not just providing classroom supplies—it is opening doors, fueling creativity, and shaping the future of my students.","fullyFundedDate":1739372335379,"projectUrl":"project/can-we-get-to-technology-now-yes-we-ca/9045929/","projectTitle":"Can We Get to Technology Now? The excitement in our classroom has been incredible—students have been eager to explore the world of podcasting, and their creativity is shining in ways we never imagined. They are developing their storytelling, research, and technical skills while sharing their voices on topics that matter to them. This opportunity has truly transformed our classroom, making learning more engaging and meaningful.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has also sparked enthusiasm among other teachers, who are now exploring ways to integrate podcasting into their own lessons. We are thrilled to share that our best student-created podcasts will be entered into NPR's annual student podcasting competition, giving our young podcasters a chance to showcase their talent on a national stage.
