I discovered Donors Choose later in the school year last year and wasn't able to utilize many of the supplies until this year, but we have truly made the most of them.\r\n\r\nSome of the donated items were intended to help me keep other supplies organized and easily accessible for my students. However, the primary goal of my project was to enable my students to write more in Spanish while creating items that would personalize their projects. Opportunities for students to engage in arts and crafts at the high school level are limited, yet many still find joy in creating. Your contributions have significantly helped my students achieve this.\r\n\r\nMy students have worked on various projects, including a \"Soy Yo\" (I am me) project, a \"Día de los Muertos calavera\" (Day of the Dead Skull), and an \"En la casa\" house floor plan. With each of these projects, my students have been able to apply the vocabulary and skills they have learned, while also expressing their identities through creativity. Many take great pride in their work, especially when they know it might be displayed. I can see their pride grow even more when they see my reactions to their awesome creations.\r\n\r\nThrough these projects, I have gained valuable insights into each of my students. Observing what they produce makes teaching incredibly rewarding.
