The tonies and the characters have increased the level of the visits to the library center every day. Before I got the grant maybe 1 student would visit that center in a week now they all want to go each day, and we have had to add a sign-up sheet to visit the library center during our center time each day.\r\nI discovered that I could use the creative tonies and record my voice reading a story. The students love it. I even got my own personal child who has a reading disability to record himself reading a book for my class to enjoy. He now loves to pick out stories and practice so that I can record him for the creative tonie. This has motivated him to practice so that he can read to my students. \r\nI plan at the end of the year to record every child in my class reading a book so that we can share them the last few weeks of school with our classroom friends. \r\nOverall, we are loving the new listening center, and I think in the long run my student are benefitting each day because they are hearing stories and this helps their reading and language development.
