Your donation is already changing how our students see and reach the books on our shelves, and I want you to know how much it means to us.\r\n\r\nAs we rebuild the Holleman library, we are working to create a space that invites children in and makes it easy for them to find something they love. A library is more than a room full of books. It should feel welcoming, organized, and exciting, and a child should be able to walk in and find a book that speaks to them without needing an adult to find it first. Your gift helps us do exactly that.\r\n\r\nThe bins you purchased let us create forward-facing displays, where book covers are visible instead of just the spines. This may seem like a small change, but it makes a real difference, especially for young readers. Our students choose books the way many of us do: by what catches their eye. A bright cover, an interesting character, or a familiar face on the front of a book can be the spark that turns a hesitant reader into an excited one. With forward-facing displays, our students can browse independently and make choices with confidence.\r\n\r\nThe bins also give us dynamic shelving. We can rotate collections throughout the year, highlighting new arrivals, seasonal titles, favorite series, and books that connect to what students are learning in class. When a display needs refreshing, we can simply swap the bins instead of rearranging entire shelves. This flexibility is especially valuable as we continue building our collection, because the library can grow and change along with our students' interests and needs.\r\n\r\nYour gift also makes my work, and that of every adult who supports our readers, easier and more effective. Kindergartners who are just learning to love stories, and fifth graders hunting for the next book in a favorite series, can all find what they need more quickly. That means less time searching and more time reading, which is where the real learning happens. Research consistently shows that access to books and time spent reading are among the strongest foundations for literacy and academic success. Because you invested in access, you invested in our students' futures.\r\n\r\nRebuilding a library takes time, patience, and a community that believes in its children. Donors like you make that possible. Your support tells our students that people they may never meet care about them and want them to have a library worthy of their curiosity. That message matters as much as the bins themselves.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness and generosity. You have helped make Holleman's library a place where every child can discover the joy of reading.","fullyFundedDate":1778261931280,"projectUrl":"project/buckets-and-buttons-for-book-loving-bull/10260164/","projectTitle":"Buckets and Buttons for Book-Loving Bulldogs!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Crites","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3223115_orig.jpg?crop=1536,1536,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1777929352555","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3223115"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_12911","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":741,"numTeachers":42,"percentFrplEligible":70,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":11,"percentWhite":22,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":62,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":3,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"17.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":31.8,"schoolId":12911,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about It Holleman Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"It Holleman Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/waller-independent-school-district/i-t-holleman-elementary-school/12911"}
