Your donation has reached 100+ students this year, and the feedback has been incredible. Because we now have a wider variety of high-interest books, my students are more passionate and engaged than ever. These books have become the foundation of our classroom culture, turning reading time into the most anticipated part of the day.\r\n\r\nThe most profound impact has been on my reluctant readers. For the first time in a long time, these students were able to find a story that truly captivated them. I've had several students share that the book they chose from this collection was the first one they've actually finished on their own in years. Seeing that \"spark\" return to a student who previously struggled to enjoy reading is the ultimate highlight of my year.\r\n\r\nYour gift also fueled our creative summative projects. Because students were so invested in their choices, they were able to demonstrate their understanding in deeply personal ways. Projects included:\r\n\r\nCharacter Hydro Flasks: Students designed custom \"stickers\" to decorate flasks that represented their favorite character's personality and journey.\r\n\r\nSetting Recreations: Teams built either digital or 3D models of significant settings, explaining the geographical and emotional significance of those locations.\r\n\r\nComic Strips: Students illustrated pivotal scenes, detailing how the characters' choices directly impacted the plot's outcome.\r\n\r\nWorking with their team members, students used these books to collaborate, create, and think critically. You didn't just buy books; you provided the \"spark\" for hundreds of meaningful discussions and artistic expressions. We are so grateful for your kindness!","fullyFundedDate":1755097122952,"projectUrl":"project/books-books-and-even-more-books/9576261/","projectTitle":"Books, Books, and Even More Books","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Moses","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9474757"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_9907","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":308,"numTeachers":26,"percentFrplEligible":18,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":78,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":18,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"11.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":9907,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Wall Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Wall Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/wall-independent-school-district/wall-middle-school/9907"}
