Students are able to take their instruments and music home to show off to their families. Having a set large enough for each student to bring the creativity home has become the greatest blessing! My students were very excited to work with the new lessons. They are colorful and so inviting. But first, I demonstrated each of the lessons to my entire class. All the lessons focus on alphabetic understanding, learning associated letter names and sounds with pictures that begin with the sounds. Each lesson provided hands-on, kinesthetic opportunities to engage with letters. My students started working with the lessons immediately a em the lessons were always in my students' hands during work time for the rest of the year. As they created letters with Playdoh, wrote letters with dry erase markers and magnadoodle boards, and built letter with magnetic sticks and curves, the letters came to life for my students. Working with partners was not as easy to see whose work belonged to who.\r\nNow with the new resource of the magnetic grid, students can feel free to make mistakes, correct them quickly and accurately and differentiate between their work and their neighbor's work since they each have their own colored marker. \r\nYou all have made learning about the different quadrants on the coordinate plane come to life.
