My students are elated to have these new books in the classroom. It is wonderful to see their faces light up with interest as they look through the different books available to them. With these books my students are able to explore different fictional genres that we learn about in class. Since some of these books are also now movies the students can use the book to see the comparison and contrast between the movie and the literature. The fact that my students have books in class that they enjoy will surely help them to improve their fluency, vocabulary and their comprehension.\r\nMany of my students are reading every opportunity they have. They find a comfortable spot around my classroom and sit to read. Some of my students sit with their friends to read. Having several book series available for them is great because as soon as they are done with one book they borrow the next one. Some students have already read 2 or 3 books in the Dog Man Series. This donation to me is very valuable because you are contributing to my students' success. Once again, thank you for investing in the education of my current and future students. This contribution will surely have an impact for years to come..","fullyFundedDate":1746471752276,"projectUrl":"project/books-are-the-path-to-new-knowledge/9251103/","projectTitle":"Books Are the Path to New Knowledge!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Guerra","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5465766"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_17620","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":723,"numTeachers":47,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":99,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":87.5,"schoolId":17620,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Alicia Ruiz Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Alicia Ruiz Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/united-independent-school-district/alicia-ruiz-elementary-school/17620"}
