They also strengthen students' syntactic development, vocabulary acquisition, fluency, comprehension, writing, emotional intelligence, teacher-student relationships, engagement, and cultural awareness in the early grades.\r\n\r\nMy students love these books. Many of my students are English Language Learners. These books help them learn vocabulary in context, not in isolation. The multicultural titles allow all of my students to see themselves and their families in our classroom library. This matters so much! I still remember the books that my teacher read to me in elementary school.
