They also strengthen students' syntactic development, vocabulary acquisition, fluency, comprehension, writing, emotional intelligence, teacher-student relationships, engagement, and cultural awareness in the early grades.\r\n\r\nMy students love these books. Many of my students are English Language Learners. These books help them learn vocabulary in context, not in isolation. The multicultural titles allow all of my students to see themselves and their families in our classroom library. This matters so much! These are books that my students will remember for many years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1747844033855,"projectUrl":"project/books-matter/9234739/","projectTitle":"Books Matter!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lee","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4475331"},{"teacherId":4475331,"projectId":8461160,"letterContent":"My students were so excited to get our writing materials. We have studied the mentor texts to see what our favorite authors did in their writing. We have worked on incorporating those techniques into our writing. We have also used the writing and illustrating materials to create our personal narrative and informational texts.
