You helped transform my classroom into one that is inviting and welcoming of all students. I have been in education 8 years and this is my first time having my own classroom. I have made it a place where you can see all my cultures reflected. From the family pictures, friends' postcards, and pride flags, my classroom is an amalgamation of who I am and strive to be as an educator. \r\nYou have made my classroom more than just desk and chairs but truly an inviting space where students are excited to come and learn. From the dusty rose bulletin board to the big pink alphabet rug, the students are elated to be there. My first grade students always rave about how beautiful the classroom looks. From our dusty rose bulletin boards to big, bright pink rug, the room is a welcoming space where students feel safe and excited to learn. \r\n\r\nWhen you walk into our room. You will instantly see student work on the Amazing Work Wall. This is my favorite part because you can visually see all the student learning taking place in our classroom. In true bilingual fashion, our classroom is sprinkled with English and Spanish words all around. My students are mostly Spanish speaking students but they are quickly starting to acquire the English language. Thank you for giving them the environment to do so! \r\n\r\nLastly, I was blown away with the amount of support you showed to my first ever classroom. I have been in education for 8 years now but this is the first time I have ever had a classroom of my own. I have added my own touches like family pictures, pride flags, and my own classroom theme: Cielito Lindo. When you step into my classroom, you see a reflection of the dos culturas that make me into who I am. In a similar way, I hope that my students remember their experience in my classroom as one that welcomed them for their WHOLE self. These engaging texts help our youngest students build essential skills like letter-sound recognition, sight word mastery, and reading fluency—all while boosting their confidence and love for reading.\r\n\r\nIn our library, reading time is filled with excitement. Students are curling up with books that match their reading level, proudly reading aloud to friends, and discovering stories they can't wait to take home. One kindergartener who used to shy away from reading now rushes in to find her favorite book each week, and a first grader beams as he carries his book back and forth between home and school to read to his family.\r\n\r\nYour gift has done more than add books to our shelves—it's sparked joy, built confidence, and inspired a new wave of readers.
