Later, the student told me, \"I just needed a minute, and it helped.\" Watching a child advocate for their emotional needs was powerful — exactly why these care boxes matter.\r\n\r\n\r\nStudents were so excited! Several classes cheered, and many students immediately reached for the mindfulness cards and sensory tools. They were eager to explore everything and loved knowing these resources were there to support them whenever they needed a moment of calm.
