What may look like notebooks, zipper pouches, and snacks in these pictures represents so much more to me—and to my kids.\r\n\r\nBecause of the generosity of people who chose to believe in a classroom full of children they may never even meet, every one of my scholars now has something of their own to help them feel prepared, organized, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, I wish I could give my students absolutely everything. With 120 children to love, teach, encourage, celebrate, and provide for, sometimes my heart wants to give more than my own resources possibly can. That's why moments like this mean so much.\r\n\r\nTo every person who donated, shared our project, or simply believed these kids were worth investing in: look at what you did. 🥹\r\n\r\nYou didn't just buy school supplies. You helped a child feel prepared. You helped create excitement around learning. You helped me show my students that there are people outside the walls of our classroom who believe they are worthy of being supported and celebrated.\r\n\r\nSeeing their excitement today reminded me why I will always go above and beyond for them.
