Because of your donations, my students now have full sets of Boomwhackers to explore the world of music. The moment the boxes arrived, the excitement in the room was electric. \r\n\r\nYou are giving our students an active, engaging, and joyful way to explore music. We have already started practicing our first collaborative songs. For lower grade elementary students, we practiced \"Twinkle Twinkle Little Star\" which has 6 pitches/6 students in a group. For upper grade students, we worked on a more elaborated piece – \"Joy to the World\" – with collaboration of 8 students/8 pitches and advanced rhythm. \r\n\r\nThese Boomwhackers are used daily across multiple grade levels. As students advance day by day, we will add this ensemble to the future school music performance. Your belief in our classroom means the world to us. Though our original plan for a hydroponic garden shifted due to availability, the Chomp Shop Cardboard Saws we received instead turned out to be exactly what my students needed. They didn't just build projects; they built confidence, grit, and a bit of magic.\r\n\r\nIn a world that is increasingly digital, my student's reaction to \"real\" tools was one of pure, tactile excitement. There were no screens to light up—just their imaginations and the challenge ahead of them. They used the saws to notch, fringe, and sculpt recycled cardboard, working through the frustration of structural integrity until they met their first challenge and created a \"throne fit for a king,\" for our classroom mascot, that they had earlier names \"Sir Ribbit.\"\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, these tools are now a permanent fixture in our classroom. Our next step is to integrate these saws into our Simple Machines unit. Students will be tasked with using their new cardboard-cutting skills to design and build working levers and pulleys, turning \"trash\" into functional engineering marvels.\r\n\r\nYour belief that \"hands-on\" learning makes the difference was proven true ten times over during our very first challenge. Thank you for giving my students the chance to get their hands messy and their minds working.","fullyFundedDate":1765835316718,"projectUrl":"project/fresh-food-bright-minds-hydroponics-fo/9792739/","projectTitle":"Fresh Food, Bright Minds: Hydroponics For Every Student!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Trudell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10247062_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y201&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759668435740","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10247062"},{"teacherId":10062586,"projectId":9429867,"letterContent":"I am incredibly grateful for the generous donations made to support my kindergarten classroom. Because of your kindness, my students have been able to engage in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that have made a lasting impact on their growth and development.\r\n\r\nThe materials we received were immediately put to use in our daily lessons, especially during small group instruction. Through interactive centers and targeted learning activities, my students strengthened their early literacy, math, and fine motor skills. The new resources sparked excitement and curiosity, encouraging even my most hesitant learners to participate with confidence. I am proud to share that, with the support of these materials, 94% of my students met their MAP reading growth goals. The items you provided played a key role in helping students build foundational reading skills in an engaging and supportive environment.\r\n\r\nBeyond academic growth, your support has helped create a classroom environment where students feel inspired and valued. Having access to high-quality materials allowed each child to fully engage in learning, fostering independence, creativity, and a love of school. For many of my students, these experiences are foundational moments that shape how they view themselves as learners.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has truly made a difference in the lives of my kindergarteners.
