These new storytelling materials are giving my Pre-K students more opportunities to interact with the books we read instead of simply listening to a story. With puppets, felt story sets, props, and our new books, my students can act out characters, retell stories in their own words, practice sequencing, and share their ideas with their classmates.\r\n\r\nI am especially excited to see how these materials will become part of our everyday learning. A story can become a puppet show, a felt-board retelling, a small-group conversation, or an opportunity for a child to stand in front of their classmates and tell a story of their own. These experiences help my students build language, confidence, creativity, and a genuine love for books while learning through play.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped me create a classroom where stories don't have to stay on the pages of a book, they can be acted out, shared, imagined, and remembered. The middle school girls love love love the heating pads and some of the teachers use them as well. It's really such a blessing. Especially since some of my girls get really bad cramps during their mensural cycle but are unable to take medication at school unless their parents come to give it to them. This is a soothing relief that gets them through those hard days.\r\n\r\n We are also using the ice packs for injuries that might come from the gym or playground areas. The pillows are being used in the clinic for students to rest while they lie down. They reusable ice pack are being used in the clinic for when my ice machine isn't working for days that I use too many ice packs. While I don't have a bulletin board I do use decorating on my door and on my wall for all the bulletin board supplies, this uplifts the clinic and gives the students a positive view on health.\r\n\r\n This clinic wouldn't have been able to achieve these goal was it not for your help.
